  • CTBC Flying Oyster (Partner)
  • Fukuoka SoftBank HAWKS Gaming (Partner)
  • GAM Esports (Partner)
  • Talon (Partner)

LCP 2025 Format

This Split will be split into two phases—Regular Season and Playoffs.

Regular Season: The Regular Season will kick off with the group stage. The teams’ performances from Mid Season will determine their respective seedings in the Season Finals, but the match record will be reset.

The teams will be split into two groups—Contender and Breakout, with the former consisting of the top four teams while the latter includes the bottom four. The two groups will then have to play through a Single Round-Robin best-of-three format to determine the first round of standings.

Following this, the groups will be reshuffled via a group breaker and the Group Seeding Bracket will begin. The group breaker will see the 4th placed team from the Contender Group facing off against the 1st placed team from the Breakout Group, and so on, with all matchups played in a (BO3) format. Winning teams from this group breaker will join the Contender Group while the losing teams join Breakout.

The two groups will then have to battle it out in a Double-elimination format. All teams from the Contender group will advance to the Season Finals Playoff, but only the teams with two wins from the Breakout group will proceed.

Playoffs: The playoffs will see the remaining six teams go through a series of BO3s and BO5s in a Double-Elimination format in attempts to qualify for Worlds 2025. The team that reigns supreme will be crowned as the first LCP champion.

Promotion & Relegation

Two types of Guest spots will be available during the Promotion & Relegation tournament:

Free-for-All (FFA): The lowest-placed Guest team in LCP 2025 will have to compete in the FFA Guest spot against a team from participating Wild Card regions and other qualified teams from existing domestic leagues.

Regional Merit: Once the FFA concluded, the second LCP Guest team for the Regional Merit spot will be based on the following priority:

  1. If multiple Guest teams from the same home region remain, the lower-ranked Guest team from that region will participate in the P&R.
  1. If the remaining Guest teams represent different home regions, the Guest team with the second-lowest ranking in the LCP, regardless of home region, will take part in the Promotion & Relegation tournament.

Teams from the domestic league competing for the Regional Merit slot will not be eligible for the FFA slot. Guest teams that qualify for Worlds in the same year will also be excluded from the tournament.
