Over the past few months, a strange rumor has been flying around on Twitter and various other social media platforms that Elon Musk is buying Valorant (and many other esports titles). However, how much of it is true? Let’s take a look at the recent rumors surrounding Elon Musk buying popular games like Valorant, League of Legends, or Fortnite.
Elon Musk Buying Valorant?
If this wasn’t already obvious enough, let us elaborate. No, Elon Musk is NOT buying Valorant (or Fortnite, or League of Legends). These rumors originated and started circulating on Twitter as a meme. However, as the rumors started to grow, many people started believing in them,
The meme started after Elon Musk bought Twitter for the sum of a whopping $44 Billion. Since then, Twitter users throughout the globe were making jokes about Elon Musk purchasing various esports titles and deleting stuff from them.
League of Legends caster Marc “Caedrel” Lamont also joked about how Elon Musk should buy the MOBA and delete Yuumi from the game.
In fact, Elon Musk himself posted a Tweet in October 2018 where he shared a headline that reads, “Elon Musk buys Fortnite and deletes it,” with the fake quote – “I had to save these kids from eternal virginity.”
However, all of these were simply jokes and nothing more than that. Don’t expect Elon Musk to buy Valorant or League of Legends anytime soon.
