The Skyesports Championship 2024 CS2 tournament has been unveiled boasting 8 top teams from their respective regions fighting for a staggering prize pool of $200,000.
The LAN event is set to take place in India between the 23rd and 28th of July 2024 where 8 teams will fight it out for the title. Aurora Gaming, the winner of Skyesports Masters 2024 championship will get a direct qualification for their performance in the event. We will have 5 of the 8 teams get a direct invite to the event while 2 qualifiers will take place for India and the EU.
Skyesports is yet to announce the final invitee to conclude the list of teams attending the event. With two qualifiers, we will have a top side from the EU while India will get local representation thanks to the region qualifiers.
The list of teams is as follows:
● Aurora Gaming: Serbia (Skyesports Masters 2024 champions)
● Mongolz: Mongolia
● BetBoom: Russia
● Eternal Fire: Turkey
● Furia Esports: Brazil
● TBD (5th invited team will be announced at a later date)
● EU Qualifier Champion: TBD
● India Qualifier Champion: TBD
“Due to unfortunate circumstances, we couldn’t host the Skyesports Masters as a LAN in India. This time, however, we are thrilled to bring some of the world’s most distinguished Counter-Strike 2 teams to the Skyesports Championship 2024 Main Event,” said Skyesports CEO Shiva Nandy.
The dates for the European and Indian regional qualifiers will be announced later. So far we have five teams confirmed to make an appearance at the event, along with the prize pool and dates for the event. Stay tuned for more information as the biggest CSGO LAN to ever happen in India approaches.
