xQc handed a five-hour ban over Olympics stream

Popular variety streamer xQc has been banned from Twitch yet again, possible for watching the 2021Tokyo Olympic clips on his live stream.

Unlike xQc’s previous bans, the latest one was for a short period. Upon watching the Judo match between Austria’s Michaela Polleres vs Japan’s Arai Chizuru, xQc was handed a 5-hour ban.

The Tokyo Olympics is the biggest sporting event going on right now that is broadcasted throughout the world which is heavily protected with strict DMCA regulations.

I THINK I GOT MY CHANNEL LIVE-DMCA’d. I TOOK NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS AND THOUGHT IT WOULD BE FINE. REALLY DIDN’T EXPECT IT BUT I COUL’VE EASILY AVOIDED THIS. SORRY FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED INCLUDING THE VIEWERS. I’LL BE BETTER/SMARTER NEXT TIME AND FOLLOW GUIDELINES MORE STRICTLY

xQc is no stranger to Twitch bans and this might as well be his first ban that got lifted within 5 hours. Despite picking up multiple bans Twitch has been forgiving which is extremely uncharacteristic of them.
