An iconic organization relaunched by one of the best IGLs of the Counter Strike Global Offensive scene in Danylo ‘Zeus’ Teslenko, can pro100 surprise their regional powerhouses HellRaisers en route to a shock win at DreamHack Delhi Invitational 2019.
The Squad
pro100 have undergone a host of changes in 2019, with the entire lineup revamped over the course of the year. A trial period saw pro100 bring in experienced and cultured members of the CIS csgo scene in the form of Georgi ‘WorldEdit’ Yaskin and Jan ‘wayLander’ Rahkonen, both of whom made their way to the team after Flipsid3 Tactics decided to dissolve their CSGO operations.
Alexey ‘NickelBack’ Trofimov is the IGL for pro100, who acquired the 22-year-old from Monolith Gaming in May, 2019. The longest standing member of pro100 is Mareks ‘YEKINDAR’ Galinskis, who joined the organization in 2018.
Former AVANGAR star Dmitry ‘dimasick’ Matvienko completes the pro100 roster. The 23-year-old joined the team in October, 2019.
The Struggle for Relevance
It is tough to see a name as iconic as pro100 unable to establish themselves as one of the better performing lineups in the CIS scene. They have taken necessary steps, bringing in a new IGL and experienced players to form a roster with the perfect mix of youth and experience.
But, the current lineup has produced ‘average’ results at best. WorldEdit has been the standout performer, yielding the AWP for pro100. dimasick though, is a new member and is likely to slowly come into his own. The organization and their fans will be hoping the former AVANGAR star is able to step up and be the star player pro100 need on the server.
A record of 31 wins out of 68 maps played is a damning statement for pro100, especially if you glance at the teams and lineups they have faced since this roster came to be in October, 2019. pro100 will be looking to close 2019 out on a high as well as build momentum for 2020. DreamHack Delhi is the perfect opportunity to do the same.
Expectation
On paper, pro100 have the team to maybe go all the way at DreamHack Delhi. The CIS side will potentially have, in HellRaisers, their strongest rival. But, this might act as the event to bring the team together and perhaps, unlock their potential.
Honestly, we do not know what to expect from pro100. But, from their POV, Top 2 should be the minimum goal at DreamHack Delhi and anything lower than that might trigger another round of change(s) to the roster.
We expect pro100 to clear their group easily and ideally reac the final, depending on who they face in the semi-final. A showdown between them and HellRaisers should be worth watching for the neutral crowd at DreamHack Delhi.
