DreamHack Delhi is just around the corner and the fans have been waiting in anticipation to find out the teams that they will see in action in Delhi between December 6 to 8.
Lucid Dream had already grabbed one of the six available slots, winning the ‘Indian’ Online Qualifiers over Global Esports, with one slot going to the winner of the ESL Masters Fall LAN Finale in Hyderabad.
Four slots were kept for direct invites and now, DreamHack have announced two of them. Middle-Eastern stack YaLLa Esports, who have a history of competing in ESL Masters, have been handed a direct invite for the event.
YaLLa were also in attendance at ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2019 and suffered the same fate as Entity, bowing out in the Decider Match for their respective group to clock a Top 12 finish in China.
The other team that has been confirmed is South African team Goliath Gaming. The highlight or the star presence in the team is Dimitri ‘Detrony’ Hadjipaschali, who previously played for Bravado and was a part of the roster that won DreamHack Mumbai.
While the two teams are good in their own ways, fans will now be waiting to see if there is any high-profile team that is handed one of the two remaining invites.
The invite to YaLLa might also raise the question of a possible invite to Entity. The Indian team could not take part in the Indian Online Qualifiers due to ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND and have not qualified for the ESL Masters LAN Finale, which means they are set to miss DreamHack Delhi if they do not receive a direct invite to the event.
