Luminosity and Cloud9 make their way to the Finals of the Group A ELEAGUE Season 1

The third day of the ELEAGUE Season 1 started with the match between Luminosity and Team Liquid. We had Luminosity who was on the top of the table and on the other hand Liquid who had been struggling to make a place for themselves in the Finals of the Group A of the ELEAGUE Season 1.

As the veto proceeded Luminosity picked the first map Mirage and then Liquid picked up Nuke and Dust2 was randomly voted as the third map of the game. The first map was Mirage and Liquid started things pretty well by winning the first pistol round with the help of nitr0 and Clutch master Hiko. The first pistol round win gave them a boost but then Fallen picked up a triple kill with the awp and Luminosity were back in business. Somehow the first half scoreline was bought to 10-5 favoring the Brazilians. In the second pistol round fnx went huge and picked up three pistol kills that lead them to win the next two rounds. Liquid were only able to pick out 1 round in the second half of the map and the game ended in the favor of Luminosity with a scoreline of 16-6.

The second map of the game was Nuke that was Liquid’s pick and everyone expected them to win this map and give Luminosity a good fight. Hiko the clutch master again stepped in for his team and pulled of a great pistol round to give Liquid a good start. But Luminosity didn’t stay behind for quite a long time, after losing the two following rounds they came back into the match with three in a row. But adren helped Liquid to win an important 1v1 situation that lead to Liquid winning the first half with a scoreline of 10-5.The second half of the game saw an incredible retake by Luminosity and winning the second pistol round. After this there was no stopping for Luminosity and Fnx and fer were on fire. Fnx took a quad kill and defended the site that made Luminosity win the second map of the game and the semi finals of the ELEAGUE Season 1 with a scoreline of 16-12.

The second match of the day was between Cloud9 and Renegades who previously played a draw on the second day of the tournament. But this was the final chance for both the teams to qualify for the playoffs of the ELEAGUE Season 1. The Veto took place and Renegades picked up their first map as Cobblestone and Cloud9 picking up Cache and the third map that was randomly decided was Train. The first map of the game was Cobblestone and Shroud made sure that Cloud9 wins the first pistol round of the map. Renegades tried hard to pick some rounds in the first half of the game but Cloud9 didn’t let them do so and won the first half with a scoreline of 12-3. Cloud9 then won the first pistol round and then it was all over for Renegades as Cloud9 won the first map of the game 16-3.

The second map of the game was Cache that was Cloud9’s pick and with the help of Skadoodle they managed to win the first pistol round. But then Renegades came back in the game and won 4 consecutive rounds to restore them back into the game. The first half of the game ended by Cloud9 leading with a scoreline of 10-5. Just like in the first half, Cloud9 won the pistol round but this time Renegades made a force buy and won the next round. The Australians tried hard to get back in the game by winning a few more rounds but Shroud and Stewie2k didn’t just let them win and made their way to the finals of the Group A of the ELEAGUE Season 1 with a scoreline of 16-11.

The third day of the ELEAGUE Season 1 saw some of the great matches that led Luminosity Gaming and Cloud9 to make through to the Group A final of the ELEAGUE Season 1. It will be very interesting to see which team will come out on the top at the finals of the ELEAGUE Season 1. We will keep you updated for the rest of the matches, stay tuned.
