SK beats Faze, Fnatic eliminates G2

The next match of the Day 2 of the ESL Cologne 2016 was between SK Gaming and Faze. The map that was to be played was yet again Cobblestone.

The Brazilians started on the CT Side and with the help of ‘TACO’s two final kills and the defuse,they picked up the first pistol round. They leaded the match 6-0 before the seventh round finally saw FaZe picking up a round with the help of ‘rain’. ‘Aizy’s triple kill also gave them the second round but ‘coldzera’ holding into the B site for SK didn’t let FaZe take over that site and SK closed down the first half with a scoreline of 12-3. In the second pistol round ‘fox’ helped his team to secure the round by picking up two Usp kills . But then the Brazilians didn’t stay behind for too long, with ‘coldzera’ picking up some important kills that helped them to close the map 16-6.

The last match of the Day 2 of the ESL Cologne 2016 was between #2 ranked team G2 and #3 ranked team fnatic. The map that was decided was Train.

Fnatic started on the T Side of the map and quickly picked up the first round with the help of ‘JW’s two kills for his team. Later in the first gun round two awp kills by ‘shox’ and ‘Smitzz’ each won them the round. With G2 leading the game 6-3, fnatic made a comeback in the game as ‘flusha’ clutched a 1v2 to give his team an important round. Fnatic leaded the first half with a scoreline of 8-7. In the second pistol round G2 tried for a A-site take but ‘Krimz”s cleaned up the round by taking three USP kills. Fnatic moved ahead to 11-7 but G2 managed to pull off the gun round with the help of ‘Scream’ and equalized

the score at 11-11. Later on ‘JW’ picked up some important kills and fnatic started to lead the map again at 14-11. G2 didn’t give up and still tried to comeback in the game by winning two more rounds and making the score to 15-13 but then fnatic closed the map 16-13, eliminating G2 early in the tournament.
