Team Overcome beat Wolf-Invisible wings at ESL Starter Cup #2 CS:GO finals

The ESL Starter Cup #2 finals played between Team Overcome and Team Wolf (now Invisible Wings) had an unfortunate turn out of events when Team Wolf’s boot-camp was hit by internet failure which led them to forfeit the second map (11-11 in cobblestone at the time of disconnect) after losing the first one 7-16 on mirage. Team Overcome became the ESL Starter Cup #2 CS:GO champions.

We were expecting a breathtaking battle between two of the India’s top 5 teams with similar skill levels competing against in the ESL India Premiership Starter Cup #2 CS:GO finals, which turned out to be rather one-sided upset in the first map only to finish the best-of-three battle with forfeit in the second map after Team Wolf faced connectivity trouble. As a matter of fact Team Overcome clinched the victory 2-0 in a best of three grand finals affair to be called ESL Starter Cup # CS:GO champions, they will be qualified for the LAN finals alongside Team Wolf which will be held in Hyderabad very soon.

Putting some light on Team Overcome, who are not yet well renowned in the industry. The team was formed a couple of months ago and have had a good run all throughout their journey. Not winning any major events but were definitely in the top four in almost all the national tournaments held.

Their major wins were marked in Mangima 2016 Pune which held earlier this year, Team Overcome stood 3rd at Mangima, 4th at Lenovo India Gaming Week and Videogame Fest, Bangalore, they were also the runners-up at TPLinks ClanWars Season 4. Their latest two achievements were recorded today when they stood 4th at Novaplay’s Supernova being eliminated by Team Brutality (16-13) who later on went ahead winning the event.
