Team Liquid makes its way to the top 8 at The Manila Major, compLexity goes packing

Complexity gaming’s journey at The Manila Major has ended after their loss to Team Liquid in the lower brackets.

The close game which finally favored Team Liquid with both the teams failing to lead 3K MMR in the first thirty minutes of the game. Meanwhile, CG had to use their buybacks to defend their base following a rough teamfight in the bottom lane resulting in a Liquid aggression which was unable to defend. MinD_Control’s Tidehunter proved to be pivotal to Liquid’s victory, using Ravage to great effect and dying only once in the 45 minute game.

Similarly to Game 1, Game 2 saw both teams trade kills and fights across the map for the first 20 minutes. Liquid’s decision to pick Alchemist for FATA- paid off however, catapulting Liquid to a large net worth lead at the moment when Matumbaman’ Lifestealer finished farming, creating a devastating combo that crushed compLexity. Matumbaman played Lifestealer in both games, though his second performance was much more impressive, ending the game with a 13/0/6 KDA.

Liquid previously lost to MVP Phoenix in the first round of the upper bracket in two close games, while compLexity defeated Wings Gaming to advance in the lower bracket. Liquid will next play the winner of the Alliance vs. Natus Vincere match.
