For the first time in the history of Indian Valorant E-sports, we saw the group draw for a tournament live on Youtube, the show was hosted by MambaSR and Captain price and they drafted each of these 12 teams into two groups, out of which 6 teams would make it to the main event in Chennai giving them an opportunity to represent our region in VCT APAC challengers season 2.
Initially, the teams were divided into three pools A, B, and C. Pool A and B consisted of the invited teams which were the top 8 teams of VCC, where the top 4 were part of Pool A and the bottom 4 made the pool B. Pool C was comprised of four qualifying teams from India and RoSA qualifiers.
Qualified 12 teams:
Draft Results:
- From Pool C; Valor Gaming and Prime 5 into Group A and Orangutan and Reckoning Esports into group B
- From Pool B; Revenant Esports and Khumbu are part of Group A and Union Gaming and Excelli Gaming are drafted into Group B
- From Pool A; Enigma Gaming and Global Esports are part of Group A and Velocity Gaming and Fullpower Gaming made into group B.
The groups seem to have a nice balance and anyone out of these 12 can qualify for the Chennai Lan event.
Final bracket teams:
The group stage would be a round-robin where every team would play every other team in the group and the top 3 teams from each group would qualify for the LAN event which would be a double-elimination bracket type tournament.
The top 2 teams of the event would then qualify for VCT APAC season 2 Challengers for a chance to qualify for VCT Masters Copenhagen. Good luck to all the teams and may the best team win the whole event.
