The open-world Gachi game will be going next-gen on Sony’s PlayStation 5 next week along with several graphics enhancements and a completely redesigned Qingyun Peak exclusively for PS5 players.
Genshin’s developer miHoYo has also developed a customized file loading system to take advantage of the PS5’s SSD as well as a completely new graphics library for much better visuals. Genshin’s next-gen version will also take full advantage of the dual sense controller as the control scheme has been redesigned for immersive haptic feedback, something that was lacking from the backward compatible PS4 version.
You can read Sony’s PlayStation blog here and check out 8 minutes of 4K gameplay on the PS5.
Genshin Impact will launch on April 28 along with update 1.5 which will introduce a player housing system as well as several new features, events, and bug fixes.
