Genshin Impact 1.2 Patch Notes

The upcoming Genshin Impact patch 1.2 is set to bring a heap of new additions to the open-world RPG including some features and quality of life changes that players of the miHoYo title are eagerly waiting for.

The next patch is also rumored to bring a new playable area, quests, and events to Genshin Impact. However, these rumored changes haven’t been confirmed by the developers as of yet.

Genshin Impact 1.2 Release Date

As revealed by miHoYo in their roadmap, Genshin Impact patch 1.2 will go live on 23rd December 2020.

Here are the confirmed features and QoL changes coming to Genshin Impact in patch 1.2:

  • Private Chat Function: Players will be able to privately chat with their friends with the click of a single button.
  • Friends Nicknames: Players will be able to select an avatar and set a nickname for their friends.
  • Trackable Pin: Players will be able to track custom pins/bookmarks in the map.
  • Repeat Domains Without Exiting: Another quality of life change that will allow players to repeat domains without leaving them.
  • Auto Pick-Up Domain and Leyline Drops: Domain and Leyline Drops will be auto-stored in the inventory.
  • Dialogue Autoplay System: Dialogues can be auto-played.
  • Travel Log Archive: Dialogues from Archon Quests and Story Quests will be saved and can be viewed later.
  • Co-op Connectivity Improvement: Leaving Co-op during domain will no longer interrupt other players. 
  • New Free Acquaint Fate System: Players will get 1 Acquaint Fate each time they ascend a character to LVL 20, 50, or 70.
