Genshin Impact 3.4 is expected to bring a plethora of new content to the open-world action RPG. Among these new additions is Yaoyao, a new Genshin Impact character who was previously teased by the company during The Game Awards 2022.
Yaoyao will be a 4-star Polearm wielder who’s set to arrive with the version 3.4 update. While details about her haven’t been revealed by HoYoverse at the time of writing, we do have a decent idea about the upcoming character from all the leaks we’ve seen so far.

Genshin Impact Yaoyao Abilities
None of Yaoyao’s abilities have been confirmed as of yet, but according to leaks on social media platforms, her Elemental Skill – Raphanus Sky Cluster – will summon Yaoyao’s companion Yuegui on the battlefield. Yuegui will then proceed to throw White Jade Radishes at her enemies and allies, damaging the former upon exploding while the latter will get AoE heals instead.
Yaoyao’s Elemental Burst skill – Moonjade Descent – enables her to enter her Adeptal Legacy state and summon up to three Yuegui. The Yuegui will deal additional Elemental Burst damage based on her ATK stat while she also gains a 15% Movement speed boost.

Genshin Impact Yaoyao Release Date
As mentioned earlier, Yaoyao is expected to join the roster of playable characters in Genshin Impact with the Genshin Impact 3.4 update. The update will hit the live servers around January 17, 2023.
