Even after a major content update was shipped to Genshin Impact in the form of patch 1.2, the demands of fans to buff the five-star character Zhongli continued. It looks like miHoYo has finally listened to its player base, as Zhongli has finally received a much-needed buff in a recent Genshin Impact update.
In a blog post released today, miHoYo acknowledged the weaknesses of Zhongli in Geo parties, non-Geo parties, and Co-Op scenarios while adjusting the character to buff its abilities.
Other than some visual enhancements to the character, the recent buffs include changes to Zhongli’s elemental skill – Dominus Lapidis (Hold).
From now onwards, when a character is protected by the Jade Shield, opponents within a set radius have all Elemental RES and Physical RES decreased by 20%. This effect cannot be stacked.
This will increase the playability of this character by a margin in co-op and multiplayer modes. Players will now have a much easier time damaging enemies around them while using Zhongli’s elemental skill/
