How to Change Your Name in Rocket League?

Every gamer would feel the need to change their in-game name once in a while and this feeling is no stranger to Rocket League players. You will be surprised to know that, unlike most games, there is no option to change your in-game name in Rocket League. However, there is still a way to change your in-game name. Want to know how? In Rocket League, there is no option to change your in-game name because the name is tied to your launcher’s display name. So whatever display name you have set in Epic Games, Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch is the name you will see in-game. Having said this, let’s see how to change your name in Rocket League.

Epic Games

1. Log in to the Epic Games website, and go to your Account Info page. (Your email address needs to be verified for further steps)
2. Click on the Pencil icon next to the Display Name box.
3. Type in your new display name
4. Hit Confirm.
5. Select Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

Steam

1. Go to your Steam Profile
2. Click on Edit Profile.
3. Type in your new Profile Name in the Profile Name box.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.

PlayStation

1. Sign in to Account Management and select Profile from the sidebar.
2. Select Edit next to your current online ID.
3. Enter a new online ID and select Check Availability. If your new online ID is available, select Continue.
4. Choose if you would like to display your old online ID next to your new online ID for 30 days.
5. Confirm your purchase of your new online ID. After you complete the change process, you’re signed out of all devices.

Xbox

1. Press the Xbox button on your controller
2. Then select System
3. Go to Settings
4. Select Personalization
5. Select My profile
6. Select Customize profile.
7. Select your gamertag, then select it again to type a new gamertag or select one from the suggested list.

Switch

1. Sign in to your account on the Nintendo Account website.
2. Locate the Profile box
3. Click the Edit button.
4. Type in your new Nickname.
5. Click the Save Changes button

There you go, you can now change your nickname in Rocket League be it on any of the platforms mentioned above.
