Ubisoft’s Xdefiant has taken the gaming community by storm as Ubisoft has brought multiple characters from their past games. Xdefiant features 5 factions based on 5 different games with 3 characters in each faction. Surprisingly, the game was launched for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X at the same time and supports Crossplay.
If you don’t know, Crossplay allows players from different platforms to play with each other. While this feature gained popularity recently, some still do not prefer this feature to be enabled in the game. If you are one of those who do not like it, then here is how you can disable Crossplay in XDefiant.
Disable Crossplay on PC and PlayStation 5
- Go to Settings.
- Find and enter ‘Matchmaking and Account’
- You can toggle Crossplay on/off here
Disable Crossplay on Xbox Series X
Players on Xbox Series X do not have a way to change the Crossplay settings in Xdefiant itself. Players on Xbox will have to change this Crossplay setting via the console’s settings. Here is how you can do it:
- Press the Xbox button on your controller.
- Go to Profile and System
- Go to Settings
- Go to Account
- Select Privacy
- Select Xbox Privacy
- Click on View Details and Customize
- Select Communication and Multiplayer
- Search for ‘you can join cross-network play’ option
- Select ‘Block’
There you go, now you can toggle Crossplay for Xdefiant whenever your heart feels like it. Having said this, disabling Crossplay can decrease the matchmaking times depending on the platform you are using.
