The multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game called Dota 2 was created by Valve. The game’s hero roster expands yearly, and the majority of these newcomers make their debuts during The International. But this also applied to Muerta, the 124th hero.
Muerta is all set to debut in early 2023, although a Dota 2 player made a prediction about the hero’s debut a few days before the announcement on the Dota 2 subreddit. We will go through what we currently know about Muerta in this piece.
DOTA 2 Muerta: All you need to know
The hero is most probably influenced by the Day of the Dead, an annual event celebrated in Mexico. Muerta also means “dead lady” in English, therefore the protagonist of a match may alternate between the underworld and the living world.
Even though Muerta’s skills have not yet been disclosed, in her unveiling video, she displayed her handgun and changed to expose the spirits around her. Muerta’s skills are believed to include her rifle and maybe a channeling ability that summons the power of the deceased. Muerta has a good chance of succeeding as a hero of agility. Asan, the Phantom Assassin’s Persona that debuted alongside the TI11 Battle Pass, was also revealed to include voice lines pertaining to Muerta.
Early in 2023 will see the introduction of Muerta in Dota 2. It’s likely that the hero’s official release date will be announced as 2022 draws to a close. Although Valve hasn’t yet shared Muerta’s official narrative, the trailer gave us the impression that it may be similar to the backstories of Wraith King, Necrophos, and Death Prophet. Muerta shares the same green coloration as these three heroes and, in keeping with their legend, also has a connection to the land of the damned.
