To rewatch a replay of a match, head to the matchroom of the game you’re interested in.
Just remember to make sure the match took place within the last 30 days.
How to Watch and Replay Faceit Matches in CS2?
- Open Faceit.
- Click on ‘Watch Demo’ in the center of the match page to download the demo file.
- Since FACEit demos are compressed, you’ll need software like WinRAR or 7Zip to extract the file.
- Locate the folder where you saved the demo, right-click on it, and choose ‘Open with decompression software of choice).
- Then select the file and click ‘Extract to a specified folder.’ Choose the folder where CS2 is installed, for example – C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\game\csgo.
Please remember: This is NOT the usual directory for saving CS:GO demos. Make sure to select the ‘game’ folder before choosing ‘csgo’ to ensure it’s in the right place.
At this point, we recommend renaming the demo to something more unique and easily findable. Navigate to the folder where you saved the demo, right-click on the file, and enter your preferred name.
Start your version of CS2 and open the console using your chosen keybinding. If you haven’t set a keybinding yet, go to your controls and assign one.
In the console, type ‘playdemo nameofdemo‘ and press enter. This should start the demo for you within CS2!
