A newly discovered Genshin Impact mechanic lets players use Plunging Attacks into combos without needing to jump from a higher position. Fans have named this combo the ‘Dragon Strike’ and today we’re gonna take a look at how you can execute the combo perfectly.
The Dragon Strike is best done using Claymore characters like Razor and is quite hard to perform consistently. However, once you get the hang of it you can likely execute it most of the time.
The Dragon Strike is performed by using the ‘hitlag’ mechanic in Genshin Impact. When a character hits an enemy, they experience a small slowdown, which is called hitlag. You can use this hitlag to dash, jump and execute a Plunging Attack.
Ideally, you would want to maximize your character’s movement speed by having two Anemo characters in your party to trigger the Anemo Resonance. You should then use a Claymore character like Razor for this trick and have Diona’s shield activated for even better odds of succeeding.
Once you’ve met the character speed requirements, you need to dash, jump, and execute the Plunging Attack during the hitlag as mentioned previously.
If you’re having difficulties, try to maximize your FPS by lowering the graphics settings and minimize your ping before attempting this.
