How to Find Out Abyssal Woods in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree?

The entrance to the Abyssal Woods is not immediately obvious and can be easily overlooked by many players. It is located in an optional side dungeon in the southern part of Scadu Altus, a region that itself is filled with secrets and hidden paths.

To begin your journey, locate the Darklight Catacombs. These catacombs are situated on the lower cliff at the south end of the lake at the bottom of the Recluses’ River. This area is somewhat secluded, so watch for any hidden paths or markers that might lead you there.

Once you have found the Darklight Catacombs, your next task is to progress through Shadow Keep. This involves navigating various challenges and enemies until reaching a stone coffin. This coffin is hidden behind an illusory wall, which you will need to uncover.

After discovering the stone coffin, interact with it to trigger a sequence that takes you down a waterfall. This descent is crucial as it leads you deeper into the catacombs and closer to your destination.

Your final task within the Darklight Catacombs is to clear out all enemies and obstacles. This will culminate in a boss fight at the end of the catacombs. Defeating this boss is essential as it unlocks the path to the Abyssal Woods.
