Blizzard has just dropped Overwatch 2 but not without a plethora of issues. From network to performance, Overwatch 2 has issues in several areas. Most recently, players have reported a stuttering issue, and here’s how to fix it:

The stuttering may not be a native issue and the added load that Overwatch 2 puts in your hardware are likely the reason behind this annoying stutter. Overwatch 2 has seen improvements in multiple areas but it is more demanding than before. If your computer is clear of the minimum requirements there are simple tweaks that should do the trick.

How To Fix stuttering in Overwatch 2?

Check System Requirements:

Overwatch 2 is clearly more demanding than its predecessor. Before you break your bank upgrading your PC, go through the minimum requirements before taking a decision.

Minimum Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit (latest Service Pack)
  • Processor: Intel Core i3 or AMD Phenom X3 8650
  • Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 600 series, AMD Radeon HD 7000 series
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Storage: 50 GB available hard drive space
  • Internet: Broadband internet connection
  • Resolution: 1024 x 768 minimum display resolution

Recommended Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit (latest Service Pack)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 5
  • Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD R9 380
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Storage: 50 GB available hard drive space
  • Internet: Broadband internet connection
  • Resolution: 1024 x 768 minimum display resolution

Drivers:

Update drivers for your entire system. Upgrading the GPU drive might see boosted frame rates in modern games but that is no reason to leave other drivers unattended. Make sure to upgrade and preferably clean install everything.

Memory:

Overwatch 2 eats more ram than before but that does not necessarily mean that adding ram is the only way out. Stop all unwanted and ram-hogging applications and clear your memory off anything that you do not need when playing.

Ingame Settings:
