How to get better FPS in Valorant

Optimized games do give you an edge especially the FPS titles while you’re competing. Imagine using a 240Hz monitor for First-person tactical shooters and they just won’t go past the benchmark, that’s where you notice quite the difference.

Today we will discuss the tweaks which Valorant  requires to function at the best performance with a huge threshold of FPS. Though FPS is the only parameter one can tune, others like the Packet losses, Ping Spikes depend upon your system and the network connectivity.

Higher Frames does help Valorant to culminate its performance in a more “Polished manner”. With a higher index of FPS, maps seem to be more coherent with an “In-unison frame- rate”. To improve FPS in Valorant you’ll need to make sure that both your PC and your game settings are fully optimized.

These are the in-game video settings which can be tweaked to get the edge over certain factors that may help you to get a better frame-rate.

  • Limit FPS – Off.
  • Display Mode – Fullscreen.
  • Material Quality – Low.
  • Texture Quality – Low.
  • Detail Quality – Low.
  • V-Sync – Off.
  • Anti-Aliasing – None.
  • Enhanced Gun Skin Visuals – Off.
  • Shadows – Off.

In the Generals menu,

  • Set Aspect Ratio method to Fill.
  • Turn off Limit “FPS on battery” if you’re playing the game on laptop.

Also, make sure you got the correct settings for the game in the Nvidia control panel. Before doing this, update your Nvidia drivers from GeForce Experience.

  • Open Manage 3D options and select Program settings.
  • Add settings for Valorant.
  • You need to configure these, this is what you need to set:
  • Antialiasing – Off
  • Low Latency Mode – On.
  • Refresh Rate – Controller by Program.
  • Energy Mode – Prefer Maximum performance.
  • Multi-Frame Sampled AA – Off.
  • Anisotropic Filtering – Off
  • Vertical V-Sync – Off.
