Developer Facepunch Studios have teamed with several Twitch streamers and content creators to give away exclusive skins through stream drops to viewers watching streamers play on OfllineTV Rust servers.
Since the launch of OfflineTV servers, Rust has suddenly become popular among Twitch Streamers. Even though Rust has been on Twitch since 2013, the sudden huge number of creators flocking to play on OfflineTV servers has dramatically increased the viewership of the game for the first time in years.
With two new servers going live yesterday, the number of creators has also increased, and as such, the developer Facepunch Studios has also added special Twitch drops for fans to get their hands on when watching their favorite stream play on OffliveTV Rust Servers. The stream drops include special streamer-themed rewards as well as normal Rust drops like doors and flaming barrels.
It is very straightforward to get these rewards and only requires a working steam account and Twitch account. Follow the following steps to register the Twitch account to receive exclusive rewards.
How to get OfflineTV Rust Twitch drops
- Link a valid Steam account to Twitch by visiting the connections part of your account’s settings.
- Head to the Rust category on Twitch.
- Check for streams with “Drops Enabled” in their title or as a tag.
- Watch for at least 4 hours total, doesn’t need to be in a single sitting, just the total view time of 4 hours across the Rust category on any “Drops Enabled” stream is enough.
- Wait patiently and hope to receive the drop you wanted.
The drops include streamer exclusive skins of Shroud, xQc, Pokimane, Myth, JakeSepticEye, LilyPichu, Ludwig, Skyunno, and AuronoPlay – with these ranging from hoodies to weapon skins, chest skins, and door skins.
There are also three general Rust rewards for everyone to earn after watching for some hours – A Sofa after 2 hours, a red Industrial Door after 4 hours, and a flaming Hobo barrel after eight hours respectively.
The drops are live now until January 14th at 11:30 pm GMT. So better get ready to hunker down to watch some hardcore PvP Rust gameplay.
