With the first Act of Dota 2’s Crownfall event nearing its conclusion, most players have either completed all the rooms that are a part of the quest or are on the verge of completion.
While clearing the Crownfall Act 1 missions, you’ll eventually stumble upon a room that requires you to spend one Candle token to access its contents. You may also have noticed that there is no way for you to obtain the Candle token within the current Crownfall event map.

Dota 2: How To Get the Candle Token in Crownfall
If you’ve properly checked out the overworld map for Crownfall Act 1, you’ll notice a place called the “Always-closed Candlemaker’s Shop”. Many Dota 2 players suspected that the shop would be the key to getting the Candle token in Dota 2, but as of now, the shop remains closed with a sign on it labeled ‘Come Back Later.’
This has led Dota 2 players to speculate that the Candle token will only be obtainable through a future Act of the Crownfall event once the Candlemaker’s shop finally opens.
Can You Obtain the Candle Token in Crownfall Act 1?
In short, the answer is no; it’s impossible to obtain the Candle token during Act 1 without any form of exploit. It will likely be added to the game as part of a future update, possibly in Act 2 or even later.
