How to Completely Uninstall Valorant Including Riot Vanguard?

Keeping a game installed on your PC is often the most convenient option, as it saves you from having to reinstall it later. However, there are times when uninstalling a game, like Valorant, makes more sense. This could be due to the need for extra storage space or simply because you won’t be playing the game for a long time.

If you’re looking to uninstall Valorant specifically through the Riot Client, you’re out of luck. The Riot Client serves as a launcher and does not feature uninstall functionality. Uninstalling any of Riot’s games off your PC can be surprisingly difficult. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with a step-by-step guide on how to uninstall Valorant.

How to Completely Uninstall Valorant Including Riot Vanguard?

  • Open up your PC’s search bar and type in Control Panel, selecting the option when it appears.
  • “Uninstall a programme” can be found under Programmes. This will display a list of every programme that is installed on your computer.
  • Scroll down until you see Valorant listed, likely sitting at around 26.5 GB.
  • To start, right-click Valorant and choose Uninstall. You’ll get a window or two as a result, and you should confirm the uninstall. By doing this, Valorant will be fully removed from your computer.

After uninstalling Valorant, you may also need to uninstall Riot Vanguard, which is their anti-cheat software for Valorant. Follow the same steps as above to remove it from your PC. Once both are uninstalled, your PC should be completely free of Valorant, and you can install whatever else you want.
