In the dark world of Schedule 1, becoming a drug kingpin is half the fun. Moreover, according to a few players, there’s no more legendary character to play than Walter White. The game gives you the blueprints to your empire, from Breaking Bad-style equipment to actual lab equipment. But if you’re serious about dominating the meth game, learning how to acquire and use the lab oven is not optional.
Let’s break down exactly how to get your hands on a lab oven and how to put it to work in Schedule 1.
How to Use the Lab Oven in Schedule 1?

To even think about meth production, you’ll need access to the Warehouse. But there’s a catch: the Warehouse only opens to those who’ve put in the work.
You’ll need to grind your way to Hoodlum Level 5, which means selling off your stock quickly and efficiently every game day. Max out your XP rewards and, after that milestone, the Warehouse is available daily from 6 PM to 6 AM.
Oscar is hiding away on the eastern side of the Warehouse. He’s your man for all things lab, including the lab oven, which will cost you around $1,000. It’s expensive, but worth it for any would-be drug lord.
Before we even discuss the oven’s involvement, keep this in mind: the oven itself is useless without a working chemistry station. You’re going to need both to make meth.
This is how things go down once you’ve set up shop:
- Start out by producing liquid meth on the chemistry station.
- Transfer the completed liquid batch to the lab oven.
- When prompted, open the oven, pour the liquid meth into the tray, and shut the door.
- Hit “Cook” at the top of the screen.
- Once the cooking cycle is complete, open the oven, remove the meth.
- Grab your hammer and smash the crystallized product three times.
- That’s it! You’ve officially cooked your first batch.
The lab oven isn’t really fast. It takes its sweet time to get through each batch. In order to keep your operation flowing, you should definitely get two ovens with each and every chemistry station. While one is baking, you can just keep prepping liquid meth and keep the supply line steady.
