The game awards just celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2024 & the event, hosted by Geoff Keighley – is all set to return on Thursday, Dec 12th for video game trailer awards and all the fluff around the esports industry.
The show organizers on Monday revealed the nominees for this year’s game awards, with some of the big names being – Astro Bot, Metaphor: ReFantazio & the most hyped Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth which garnered the most amount of nominations, including Game of the Year!
What other game reveals can be expected from this year’s game awards – is something that everyone is oblivious to since Keighley hasn’t revealed or teased them yet – but 2025 seems like a jam-packed calendar year for game releases!
We are expecting something around the likes of Sid Meier’s Civilization 7, Doom: The Dark Ages, Fable, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, Judas, and South of Midnight
There is also a high likeliness of us getting a peek at Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, OD & a chance for a look at Hideo Kojima’s masterpiece: Physint

Well, it airs on Thursday, the 12th of December 2024 at 7:30 EST/ 4:30 PM PST.

The audience should be able to stream it on all the official channels that belong to the Game Awards: Youtube, Twitch, Facebook, Tiktok, X, Instagram & even Steam!
Games Nominated for the 2024 Game Awards Game of the Year
The list albeit was announced in mid-november 2024, has a chance to get some titles added to it but up until now, there have been six titles in the list for the Game of the Year nominees which are:
