Outriders launched recently on April 1st to mixed but mostly positive reviews with most of the complaints focusing on its always-online requirement, and even had 100,000+ concurrent players on release, going on to become Square Enix’s biggest launch on Steam which is the polar opposite of Marvel’s Avengers, another game published by Square Enix that was met with criticism due to its various shortcomings such as its aggressive monetization and lack of proper content, and as a result, its player base declined shortly after release.
However, Outriders is plagued with its own fair share of bugs and technical issues for players across all platforms, the most notable issue being the lack of any heads up display which can be quite troublesome given how players absolutely have to rely on the information displayed on-screen for navigation and combat purposes.
Luckily the problem can be solved by following the steps below:
- Open the in-game menu and go to Options.
- Change every HUD setting to OFF under the HUD tab.
- Fast-travel to another location.
- Change every HUD setting to ON under the HUD tab.
Note that this might take a few tries as this fix isn’t quite permanent but we should be receiving a hotfix update anytime soon where this issue will be resolved, hopefully.
