Loot boxes have made a surprising comeback in Overwatch 2, returning in Season 15 after their initial removal when the game shifted to a Battle Pass model. However, these aren’t the loot boxes of old. You can’t buy them with real money this time around. Instead, they’re earned through gameplay, offering players a free way to acquire cosmetic items.
If you’ve purchased the Premium Battle Pass, you’ll earn two Legendary Loot Boxes. Participating in Weekly Event Challenges can earn you ten Standard Loot Boxes by playing a certain number of matches.
How to Get Loot Boxes Fast in Overwatch 2?
A limited-time Discord Quest is also available, rewarding players with five Loot Boxes for just 15 minutes of playtime. This quest, ending February 25th, is a quick and easy way to boost your loot box count.
To claim it, follow the steps mentioned below:
- Join the official Overwatch Discord server, navigate to the Discover tab (the compass icon)
- Find the “PERKED UP QUEST“.
- Accept it.
- Play Overwatch 2 for 15 minutes with Discord open.
- Return to the Discover tab to claim the reward.
- Then redeem the code on Battle.net.
