Wuthering Waves developed by Kuro Games, is an open-world RPG game that has been successful in captivating a sizable player base ever since it’s release. The game supports multiple platforms enabling players to run the game on Android, iOS and PC(via Epic Games). Players were left speculating as to why the game does not have support for Mac. Fortunately we have found out how you can play Wuthering Waves on Mac.
It is important to know that Kuro Games has already confirmed that the game will be released on the Mac App Store. However, no date was confirmed for the Mac release. With Kuro Games already being busy with the echo development issues and the next update, it is hard to say when the game will be officially coming to Mac.
Android Emulator
At this moment, the best way to play Wuthering Waves on Mac is by using an Android Emulator. The best emulators for Wuthering Waves are BlueStacks and MuMuPlayer Pro. Out of the two aforementioned emulators, MuMuPlayer Pro is known to have the best performance but needs a subscription. Here is how you can play Wuthering Waves on Mac with emulators:
- Install BlueStacks or MuMuPlayer Pro
- Visit Google Play Store
- Search for Wuthering Waves
- Click on Install
- Once the installation is compete, hit the ‘Open’ button.
PlayCover
Unlike Android emulators, PlayCover uses Mac’s inbuilt support for running iOS and iPadOS. This ensures that you are not blocked by Wuthering Waves’ Kuro Anti-cheats system. The upside of PlayCover is that it offers high performance gaming as it isn’t dependent on 3rd party software. Here is how you can play Wuthering Waves on Mac with PlayCover:
- Install PlayCover
- Download the IPA for Wuthering Waves’ iOS release
- Launch PlayCover
- Click on the plus(+) icon
- Select the IPA
- Click on open
- Double Click the Wuthering Waves icon and the game should launch.
As mentioned earlier, Kuro Games has already confirmed a Mac version will be released in the near future but it is difficult to say when this can happen. The game is confirmed to be moving to version 1.1 on June 28th, 2024, but there are no mentions of Mac in the announcement post.
