Resident Evil Village expands on Biohazard’s semi-open world formula but this time it also introduces hunting elements to the series in a much bigger way.
After the first boss, you are able to hunt and obtain Fish, Poultry, and Meat ingredients but do not sell them to The Duke, even though you can.
These ingredients can be used to cook various dishes which increases Ethan’s health, stamina and block durability.
Fish Location 1 & 2 – Castle
Right after the castle boss fight, you’ll find yourself inside a cave where you’ll come across two fishes, you cannot return to this area so be sure to grab them immediately.
Similarly, you can find three more fishes outside Lady Dimitrescu’s castle, next to the bridge that is now raised. Simply use a knife to collect them.
Fish Location 3 & 4 – Moreau’s Reservoir
After getting out of Moreau’s tunnel, you’ll have to get onto a boat to get to the other side of the water. Once you disembark, head straight right into the cave instead of going inside the tent to your left since the area won’t be accessible after the cutscene that appears once you enter it.
Once you drain the reservoir, return to the area where you first embarked on the boat (near the treasure chest). Go around the windmill and you can find some fishes at the pool at the bottom.
Finest Fish Location – Where to find Finest Fish in Resident Evil Village
Once you obtain the crank, head to the drawbridge near the Ceremony site where you can lower it using the crank and you’ll come across a boat once again. Head downstream and disembark, take the path to your left (the cave entrance should be to your right), and you’ll find the Finest fish floating inside a pond.
Now that you have all the Fish ingredients, head to The Duke to complete your dishes, provided you’ve enough Meat or Poultry.
