Mareanie’s evolved form “Toxapex” is one of the better contenders in lower-level PvP leagues, so it is worth finding one around if you like playing the PvP mode.
Also, the shiny Pokémon spawn rates are pseudorandom with speculations from now obsolete websites like The Silph Road stating how it could be approximately 1 in 500.
So, is there anything I can do to attract more shiny Pokémon?
Unfortunately, the answer is a hard no. As we mentioned earlier, it is purely dependent on your luck with the catch rates for these rare variants set by Niantic Labs developers, with the rates boosted on special days as we mentioned earlier. Also, note that despite many non-clickbait YouTube videos, there are NO consumable items that can boost shiny Pokémon rates.
