Whether you’re looking to free up some storage space or you’ve decided to take a break from Valorant, uninstalling the game might be the right move. However, uninstalling Valorant through the Riot Client isn’t as straightforward as you might think.
If you’re hoping to uninstall Valorant directly through the Riot Client, you’re out of luck. The Riot Client serves as a launcher and doesn’t offer an uninstall feature. But don’t worry, there’s another way to remove Valorant from your PC.
Step-by-Step Guide to Uninstalling Valorant on Windows 10
To uninstall Valorant, follow these steps:
- Open your PC’s search bar and type in “Control Panel,” then select the option when it appears.
- Under “Programs,” select “Uninstall a program.”
- Scroll down until you see Valorant listed, likely taking up around 26.5 GB of space.
- Right-click Valorant and select “Uninstall” to begin the process.
- Confirm the uninstall when prompted. By doing this, Valorant will be fully removed from your computer.
Remember, Valorant uses Riot Vanguard, an anti-cheat software. You’ll need to uninstall this separately by following the same steps above but selecting “Riot Vanguard” instead of Valorant.
Once you’ve uninstalled Valorant and Riot Vanguard, your PC will be free of these programs, and you’ll have more disk space for other applications or games. It’s always a good idea to review your installed programs regularly and uninstall those you no longer use.
