Who is Jonathan? A Look at the Esports Star Jonathan Amaral

Jonathan Amaral, or more popularly known as Jonathan or Jonathan Gaming, is one of the most prominent and reputed figures in the Indian gaming industry. Jonathan started off his gaming and esports journey with PUBG Mobile and currently professionally plays and creates content around its successor Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) under the banner of GodLike Esports. Despite his young age, Jonathan has excelled at both esports and content creation.

Jonathan’s Early Life and Career

Jonathan, born on September 21st, 2002, in Goa, India, rose to prominence during his tenure with Entity Gaming in 2019. The team’s triumph in the highly coveted PUBG Mobile Club Open 2019 – Fall Split: South Asia propelled him into the limelight. Subsequently, Jonathan and his teammates represented India in prestigious events such as the PUBG Mobile Club Open 2019 – Fall Split Global Finals and PUBG Mobile Star Challenge World Cup 2019.

In March 2020, a significant milestone was reached when TSM partnered with Entity India, leading to the formation of TSM Entity. Throughout the year, the team demonstrated a commendable performance, clinching the runner-up position in the PUBG Mobile Pro League – South Asia Season 1 and emerging victorious in the PUBG Mobile India Series 2020. Their success continued as they secured the 6th position in the PUBG Mobile World League 2020: East. However, their journey faced an abrupt halt with the government of India’s ban on PUBG Mobile.

Upon the launch of BGMI, the entire roster of TSM Entity parted ways with the organization and joined GodLike Esports. The transition proved fruitful as the team claimed victory in prestigious tournaments like the Skyesports Championship 3.0 and LOCO War of Glory.

Their journey in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2021 saw them secure a commendable fourth position. Although they represented India at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021: Grand Finals, finishing 13th, subsequent tournaments like the Skyesports Grand Slam 2022 and BGIS 2022 posed challenges. Nonetheless, the team made a comeback as they emerged as the runner-up in the BGMI Masters Series Season 1.

However, 2023 and 2024 have been fraught with challenges for both the team and Jonathan. Despite their efforts, they have yet to clinch victory in any notable tournaments.
