Mushi returns to Fnatic DotA 2 squad, 343 to replace Net

Even though after the spectacular performance from team Fnatic in the past few month which got the team direct invites to the tournaments and majors. The organization had to go through some roster changes, while Mushi steps back in the team 343 will be replacing Net.

Fnatic with the current roster is regarded as one of the best teams in the world and currently ranked at position 1 according to the data and stats from GosuGamers. Although the organization had to through the roster changes, there was little concern about the performance, the major reason behind the roster shuffle was irrelevant to the in-game performances, having a team with 6 players is always been a problem and Fnatic was the victim of a similar misfortune with their current roster.

2

Right after the Shanghai Majors, DJ wanted a break to sort his VISA issues which lead to the team being in an unfortunate position with only 4 active players. Eventually, to participate in the forthcoming tournaments Fnatic decided to take up 343 as a stand-in.

The performance of the team was marvelous after the addition of 343 to the roster and Fnatic then decided to have him as a full time substitute in their roster since the tuning of the rest of the players as the players were comfortable playing with him.

Later, When It was the time for DJ to Return to the team when Mushi was the next one to take a temporary rest regarding health concerns. 343 stood up for Fnatic to replace Mushi in his absence. Since, now Mushi is back to his fitness and plans on returning into the scene after his break, Fnatic management had to take the heavy-hearted decision and underwent a major roster change.

The now effective decision from Fnatic management was to include Mushi and 343 to the starting lineup and Net as a full time Substitute which in turn led to the departure of Net from the roster.

From 343’s perspective

Net’s take on the shuffle

“On The Upcoming Tournament Event, You guys won’t see my name in the Fnatic, I have to thank Fnatic that gave me a chance to learn and also people who support me all time.”

Statement from Fnatic management – Eric “Reinnnn” Khor

“It is with a very heavy heart that we have to announce the departure of Net from our team. Through his time in Fnatic, I have gotten to know him a lot better and also the dedication that he put into the game. Generally a quiet person, it was a refreshing change to see Net went from the introvert that he is into the guy who cracks the joke. It really felt like a family here but we knew the inevitable was coming and someone had to be subbed out. After a lot of discussion, the team decided that Net would be the one to take the back seat. We would have loved him to stay with us but it is understandable that he would want to leave the team to pursue another opportunity. Here, I want to thank Net for all the joyous times and all his hard work. I wish him all the best for his future.”

Wishing all the very best to the players of Team Fnatic and Net for the upcoming major tournaments. We hope to see a stable lineup in near future and some great DotA performances from the team.

#RIPCOD is trending on Twitter; Activision CEO comes to rescue

0

After EA released some sneak peek of their latest game in the addition to Battlefield franchise, the internet broke and Activison lost. And #RIPCOD set a trend. Doesn’t sound logical? Well..

First of all, let’s be clear, Battlefield vs CallOfDuty has been a long deferred war, each time when Battlefield gets a new release with a trailer, whole of internet breaks apart with #RIPCOD trending all over social networks and people ride on shitstorms talking about how bad CoD would be but it doesn’t right? Every time they tend to sell the game 100x times more than the community projection. In a report and historical data gathered by StatisticBrain, CallOfDuty: Ghosts sold over 16million copies followed by CallOfDuty: Black Ops 3 (released in 15) which sold over 4.5 million copies till date.

#RIPCOD

The hashtag #RIPCOD is currently trending on twitter worldwide and it is not just stopping at this. Other than twitter, whole of the Battlefield and CoD players have shown disgraceful feedback towards the launch trailer of CoD: Infinity Ward and the launch trailer now has over 600,000 dislikes which now holds a record for the most disliked game trailer video in YouTube history.

Well, very sure Activision did aim to break and make some records with this game but not in this motion to be subtle. Comments such as ‘you suck’ and ‘fail cod’ are spammed elsewhere the game is discussed. The gamers are so much out of patience with the non-interesting trailer of the game that until now, while writing this piece, the video’s dislikes has taken over the numbers of people with little hopes.

Battlefield 1 trailer

The huge storm of dislikes was already underway just after Activision unveiled the trailer; later, to do the honors for phase two, EA released the trailer of Battlefield 1 and it just became everything messy at a different level. Memes, trolls, abuses and what not to defame the whole of franchise.

The level of disagreement and the rage was so strong that it got Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg under the scanner, and while asking about certain questions on the integrity of developing such a mass criticized game, he responded.

First of all, you gotta love the passion of gamers. This is an industry like no other and a fan base like no other. We love that our fans treat this franchise like their own and have such strong points of view about it. There just aren’t many entertainment franchises on earth that can generate the kind of passion that Call of Duty can… and that’s a good thing.

He was also quick to point out how the Black Ops 2 trailer held the previous record of being the most disliked Call of Duty game trailer and it eventually turned out to be the most successful Call of Duty game ever made.

By quickly comparing the current rage with that of its predecessor, he told about how Black Ops 2 trailer held the previous record of being the most disliked game-trailer which eventually turned out to be the most successful Call of Duty game ever produced.

Meet Nvidia GTX 1080, 1070 – World’s most advanced GPU

1

After months of curiosity, expectations and calculations, Nvidia has held the stir of the speculation and officially announced the arrival of it’s newest series of top performing most advanced GPU, Nvidia GTX 1080, which will be followed by GTX 1070 and probably GTX 1060 / 1050 a bit later on.

Successors to the game-changer and the most successful card series ever for Nvidia, the 980 and 970; the newest series 1080 and 1070 is also being deployed to a similar target by encouraging the hardcore and enthusiastic gamers to go for the Nvidia GTX 1080 and professional gamers and athletes can settle at GTX 1070. The cards, latest addition to the Pasval architect family (2X faster) will be available in the market from 1st week of June, whereas, India might see a slight delay of couple of weeks for the cards to be made available.

NVIDIA GTX 1080

The pricing, however isn’t unexpected. With the features and performance upgrades from its predecessors, The Nvidia GTX 1080 will surely be as powerful and even more comparatively to GTX 980 in terms of sales.

1080 is the new king.
– Jen-Hsun Huang, CEO, Nvidia

Nvidia GTX 1080 which is supposed to be faster than Titan X, is also faster than two GTX 980 cards running together using SLI technology. Like the P100, it’s built with a new 16nm FinFET (a type of 3D transistor) manufacturing process, which makes it more power efficient, on top of just being faster.

Nvidia GTX 1080

Nvidia GTX 1080

The GTX 1080 is the “largest GPU endeavor, largest chip endeavor, largest processor endeavor, in the history of humanity,” said NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang. He added that the R&D budget for the new card was “several billion dollars” over the span of more than two years. “I’m pretty sure you can go to Mars [for that],” he said.

Other than the 8GB of GDDR5X RAM and 9 teraflops, Nvidia didn’t release much about the technical specifications of the card, not only 1080, but the 1070 is also supposedly faster than the Titan X in terms of performances and specifications. Professionally for the eSports athletes and the gamers not interested in setting up a giant rig for spaceship operatives, 1070 is a healthy deal as well.

Nvidia GTX 1080 will be available at $599 whereas the GTX 1070 will be coming out at $379. The Indian prices should be around Rs. 54,000 and 34,000 respectively.

1

Beyond Infinity ASUS, India’s top DotA 2 roster has recently been in the discussions over their performance against Fnatic at the ESL One Manila qualifiers where they got appreciations and well-beings from world’s top gaming and eSports organization.

Following the massive support and feedback from the community, Beyond Infinity Asus took no time in gaining back the confidence and put themselves together to participate in Manila Major qualifiers.

The roster, which earlier was a part of NeckBREAK, Elunes and InvisibleWings, looks like now have finally have found their home in the likes of Neerav Rukhana (Team owner, Beyond Infinity), the team is also sponsored by ASUS which adds to the optimism.

Beyond Infinity ASUS

The lineup, ZeDisBuGG, Swifty, BlizzarD, Battosai, and NO_Chanc3 were put together and headed under the current franchise not more than a couple of months ago. In a conversation with their IGL, Bari Nasir ‘ZeDisBuGG’ Anwar, we got to know some exclusive details and their operations.

Sponsored by ASUS, Managed and owned by Neerav, Beyond Infinity ASUS have a well-settled boot-camp where they are practicing every day since, February 2016. The routine might sound odd or uncomfortable to our readers, but the boys have really walked out of the comfort-zone and are passionately practicing for 80+ hours a week, which is 36 hours more than a regular office goer according to industry standards (yes, I compared them vs any other professional).

The 5-month-old lineup made its way to ESL One Manila Regional qualifiers playoffs (top 4 in 256 participants)  and played against world’s best Swedish eSports organization’s roster, Team Fnatic. When asked about how was the experience in playing against world best, Anwar recollected:

Beyond Infinity ASUS

“It was a really hard to reach that stage…..we had to play open qualifiers with other 256 teams and we came top 4 and qualified to the closed qualifiers (regional qualifiers). The experience was good as we got to play against tier 1 teams and it helped us getting stronger than ever.”

The bootcamp

Beyond Infinity bootcamp in Mumbai, India.

As usually, at the bootcamp, Beyond Infinity Asus practices against some of the top teams from the SEA region and later they shift into the solo-queue mode to improve individual gameplay, and this goes on every day at their headquarters. They have an odd 5,000 facebook fans but are strong enough to boost the team up when they play matches.

Recently, the team participated in two different qualifiers of Manila Majors SEA region and were able to grab a spot 16 top teams in the second qualifier ahead of their country rivals Invisible Wings.

Indian Esports and future endeavors

We have further plans to be continue practicing and participate in major DotA 2 events as a team.. the love from our Indian community is what gives us motivation and we are thankful for such supporters esports is just like any other sport….if u are good at it then its full time thing.

You can follow Beyond Infinity ASUS on their facebook page and know more about how well they are performing and giving India a chance to be called an eSports recognized nation worldwide.

ASUS’s take on Beyond Infinity

“Sponsoring the DotA 2 eSports team,’ Beyond Infinity’ was a pivotal move and I hope this serves as an impetus to shape the future of eSports in India. The team was carefully selected based on the passion each one exhibited, the discipline and their consistency. Currently the team is sponsored for a period of one year and renewal will be subject to performance.” – Mr. Vinay Shetty, ASUS Regional Director – Component Business, India and South Asia

The message earlier, “Your chicken has been killed.” now flashes with an additional tone and it confirms the time period for which you owned it. It now says, “Your chicken has been killed. Esports being discussed in Parliament of French Government for regulations

0

The French government has moved ahead of the regular run and after serious consideration from the references obtained, Esports industry will be stirred into motion from the official parliamentarian forces.

Part of the Digital Law as we may say, the proposals were submitted last year which until now has been kept into improvisation and reconciliation.  The proposal and rules are called “projet de loi pour une République numérique” (“Digital Law”).”

The significant discussion on the addition of Esports industry in the digital law is being discussed at the French Parliament. France’s Minister of Digital Affaris, Axelle Lemaire announced that the Senate has observed and regulated the addition of the newer industry and eSports will be legalized in the country.

The minister’s office thus recorded an estimate of over a million Esports players in the country with more than 4 million viewership with even moderate expected growth in the coming years.

Until now, eSports was considered nothing but co-curricular activities mostly considered as a hobby. The recognition of eSports as an independent industry will surely ring some bells globally and people will start to respond practically and more significantly when talking about the digital sport, online gaming or eSports.

Other than the Ministers of Esports industry and formal regulations, participants will also have a status and a strong intellect in the governing bodies where they will be recognized as a official sport representative just like most of the sportsmen. The professional players from French will also be recognized and be eligible for benefits routed for government authorized bodies which include, tax benefits, post-retirement pensions, health insurance and etc.

TempoStorm conquers CEVO Gfinity Pro League Season 9 Finals ahead of SK Gaming

0

Tempo Storm are the new champions of the CEVO Gfinity Pro League Season 9, having crushed SK Gaming 3-1 in the Grand Finals.

Tempo and SK went head to head before in the gathering stage, where Tempo conveniently beat SK 2-0. In the wake of taking the second-put seed in the gathering, SK squashed HellRaisers 3-0 in the elimination rounds, while Tempo barely pushed out Virtus.pro 3-2 to assert their spot in the Grand Finals.

TempoStorm

On the principal guide of the last matchup, Cache, Tempo took off, winning 14 rounds on the CT side on their way to a devastating 16-5 triumph over SK. The second guide, Dust2, was much closer, with SK constraining extra minutes. Lamentably for SK, Tempo returned the last adjusts to expand their arrangement lead 2-0.

Despite the fact that SK couldn’t secure the second guide in additional time, they compensated for it with a noteworthy 16-9 triumph on Mirage. Aside from a three-round win streak before the half, Tempo couldn’t stop SK on their second guide decision.

Any plausibility of an opposite compass was smothered on Cobblestone, where Tempo opened the guide with an eight-round win streak, and finished the arrangement off with a 16-8 triumph. Tempo Storm goes home with $55,000 and the main head competition win in their history.
