Congressman accused of spending $1300 campaign funds on Steam games

0

Rep. Congressman, Duncan Hunter, from California, a.k.a. The Vaping Congressman, spent $1,302 on Steam Games from October 13 to December 16 according to the filing, a “personal expense — to be paid back.” According to year-end financial disclosure.

The Federal Election Commission submitted a letter to Hunter’s campaign treasurer on Monday asking for further explanation.

The letter also raised questions about a payment of $1,650 in September to Christian Unified Schools of El Cajon, which Hunter’s spokesman, Joe Kasper, said was a donation misidentified as a personal expense.

Multiple transactions made on credit card by his son

According to The San Diego Union-Tribune reports, Joe Kasper, Congressman Hunter’s spokesman, the congressman’s teenage son used his father’s credit card for one game. Several unauthorized charges resulted after the congressman tried to close access to the website.

Kasper said that Congressman Hunter is trying to have the unauthorized charges reversed before repaying his campaign account.

The Congressman’s Spokesman said,“There won’t be any paying anything back there, pending the outcome of the fraud investigation, depending on how long that takes.”

In 2013, Hunter wrote a passionate op-ed for Politico defending the value of video games against their haters. “With fingers pointing in nearly every direction, video games are often, but wrongly, identified as a catalyst for violence.”

Unfortunately, the year-end disclosures do not identify what games Congressman Hunter was accidentally paying for, or why he (or his son) paid so much for them. The FEC has allowed the congressman time until 9th May to respond.

A week prior to the $250,000 tournament it has been announced that fnatic would miss the tournament due to Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer’s arm injury, and G2 will fill up their slot. With fnatic leading the charts at the HLTV.org’s list of world’s best Counter Strike: Global Offensive team, Luminosity has a great chance of overtaking the Swedes and get themselves the crown.

HLTV.org’s list of team world ranking promotes Luminosity ahead of VP, Navi, NiP, EnVyUs and Astralis

1

The HLTV’s module of listing the world’s best Counter Strike: Global Offensive has been updated and Luminosity, the Brazilian powerhouse have now managed to beat some of the world’s best known organizations including the swedes, Ninjas In Pyjamas, Polish lineup Virtus.Pro, the Ukranian stomped Natus Vincere and the danish Astralis (ex-TSM).

Following the fascinating performance at the majors, MLG Columbus 2016, Luminosity earned ton loads of respect and (not-to-forget) cash. Two back-to-back impressive performances where they went through the semis of a grand major, Katowice 2016, where the world best fnatic managed to defeat them and conquered the title. Despite having lost to fnatic even in this majors, FalleN and co. thrashed almost all the heavyweights and made their way to finals to beat Na’Vi comfortably convincing with a 2-0 in a best-of-3 grand finals.

The ranking however is in a way technically analysed which would put the top tier teams to shame as Luminosity has beat each of those to compete and fight the elite, fnatic for their spot.

The CS:GO world team rankings are:

  1. fnatic
  2. Luminosity
  3. Natus Vincere
  4. Astralis
  5. Virtus.Pro
  6. EnVyUs
  7. Ninjas In Pyjamas
  8. G2
  9. Liquid
  10. mousesports
  11. Dignitas
  12. CLG
  13. Cloud9
  14. TempoStorm
  15. FaZe

In Columbus, Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo and his men were not able beat the Swedes (fnatic) however went through the Major with wins against mousesports, NiP, Virtus.pro, Liquid, lastly Natus Vincere, the last group being their opponent in the consistent battle for second place.

The most disappointed organization in the list above from my opinion is EnVyUs, which does have potential but aren’t able to perform well and despite their major wins against fnatic and french rivals Titan, they under-performed.

We will wait to see, how good the Brazilian squad proves out to be after beating all the world’s best teams but fnatic. The future of the Brazilians seems bright.

Dendi now the first one to have played the highest number of games for a team

Danil “Dendi” Ishitun has played 1,039 ticketed games on Natus Vincere as indicated by datdota’s details, breaking the record for most diversions of Dota 2 played on one group.

The record was beforehand held via Airat “Silent” Gaziev, who played 1,037 ticketed amusements for Team Empire before leaving the association in February. Dendi broke 1,037 ticketed recreations on Saturday, after two wins against Polarity in the EPICENTER European Qualifiers brought him up to 1039 ticketed amusements.

“In today’s Dota, it is constantly more hard to discover players who are so faithful to their group and to their fans, yet Dendi keeps on putting stock in his standards and gives his strong shoulders to bear on Natus Vincere’s objectives and dreams,” Na`Vi expressed in a public statement.

The players nearest to breaking the record are Joakim “Akke” Akterhall, who has played 889 ticketed diversions for Alliance, and Jonathan “Loda” Berg with 878. Alexander “XBOCT” Dashkevich, has played 941 ticketed amusements with Na`Vi, yet as he exited the group in October, is not right now fit for breaking the record.

‘Silent’ still holds the record for most expert, ticketed amusements played, at 1,201, as per datdota.
