Olofmeister player of the year 2015 by HLTV.org

2

HLTV finally announced the #1 Counter Strike: Global Offensive player of 2015 after player by player from the 20th spot. The 23 year old Swede and Counter Strike maestro, Olof ‘olofmeister’ Kajbjer has been rightfully titled as The Player Of The Year 2015.

Olofmeister player of the year 2015

Olofmeister, who comes from his rather not so immaculate 1.6 background, where he would usually play as a stand-in or in mix teams as the golden 1.6 era slowly faded away. In the summer of 2014, Olof and his teammate Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson, signed on to fnatic, and thus the team began their walk on the road to reaching the apex of showcasing teamwork combined with pure, raw skill.

Olofmeister in fnatic became an ideal to many, mostly due to his ocean calm nerves during the game, and extremely sharp skills. His ‘Burning Defuse’ against Team Dignitas clearly showed how calm, composed, optimistic and none the less daring, Olofmeister can be when he is on point, none of which can either be taught or learnt. His creativity and decision making during the game is purely godlike, even though the boost incident on overpass against Team LDLC in the quarter finals of DreamHack Winter made him and his team go through a rough phase, where they were even considering permanent retirement from the game, which was revealed by Jesper “JW” Wecksell in an interview with Duncan “Thorin” Shields.

Fifflaren: ”Olofmeister is the best player in the world”

However, the team stuck together and it brought them to their first major of 2015 in Aspen, MLG X-Games, where they were still deemed as villains due to the boosting controversy. Olofmeister clearly underperformed, with a rating of 0.97 , while also pulling in his lowest KPR (kills per round) of the year with 0.65. Team fnatic managed to secure the 4th position.

Olof was throned MVP in ESL One Katowice, DreamHack Open Summer, ESL ESEA Pro League S1 and FaceIt S3. While his team stood on the #1 spot in 10 prestigous tournaments and a total of 18 times in the Top-3.
He has been a consistent Rifler, AWPer, Entryfragger, Pistoler, and clutch player throughout the year, with a 71.2% round-win rate that almost guaranteed a round win every time he picked up even one kill.

Four out of seven, $250,000 events, Olof was the highest rated player, while his team won five out of seven, and apart from those he was the best player in 17 out of 20 events that fnatic attended while winning 18 of them. Making Olof “Olofmeister” Kajbjer the Best CS:GO Player of 2015. The complete list of the world’s best 20 CSGO players has been phenomenal with debates hovering over GuardiaN vs olof to be named as the best.

CSGO.one loses team after alleged match-fix request

0

What turns out to be a doze of immaturity from an organization asking their players to lose online CSGO games intentionally for skins.

As the team players told their disagreement and disappointment to HLTV.org directly, which CSGO.one ventured into competitive Counter-Strike in November by taking the team known as Orgless, a mixture of Hungarian and Danish players.

“We want to make it clear that we are never going to accept such behavior.

“We are now seeking support for our upcoming tournaments, such as the European Minor and Assembly Winter. All inquiries can be sent [email protected].”

– Team member André “BARBARR” Möller told HLTV.org

Although the team players are rigid onto the the accusation and are demanding a probe investigation, on the other hand the Team Manager KoltVP has denied any such request or his involvement in convincing the team-players to lose the matches at Operation Kinguin for skins on demand.

In an interview to TopFrag, KoltVP trashed the claims and confirmed that he was only seeking a dignified response on the recent ex-IBP banned players and wanted to know more about the decision from the players’ perspective.

  • Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad
  • Philip “aziy” Aistrup

CS:GO ESL Pro League prize pool $1.5mn in 2016

0

The Counter-Strike ESL Pro League, formerly known as the ESL ESEA Pro League, will increase its available prize money from $1 million in 2015 to $1.5 million, spread across two seasons, in 2016. ESL has confirmed that 24 teams, representing every major organization across Europe and North America, will participate, including Fnatic, EnVyUs, Question Mark, Natus Vincere, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Cloud 9, Team Liquid, Counter Logic Gaming and OpTic Gaming.

ESL Pro League

“The ESL Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Pro League is leveling up this year. We’ll be working on enabling larger offline crowds to follow the action as players battle in matches that could define the rest of their lives,” said Ulrich Schulze, vice president of pro gaming at ESL. “But it’s not just offline audiences we’re aiming for. Television broadcasts, a higher standard of online production, a continued emphasis on competitive integrity — these are just some of the things you will see this year.”

“The increase in prize money is a testament to Counter-Strike and its explosive growth over the past few years. Seeing the teams’ achievements not only in the ESL Pro League but also in major competition such as ESL One Cologne and IEM San Jose, I think the prize money increase is nothing short of well deserved,” Schulze said. “Alongside that, with two seasons this year, scaling up the prize money per season for a league of this standard, thereby enabling players to make a living with less travel requirements and event attendance — that was what was best for not just the players but the league as a whole.”

The increase in prize money for ESL’s premier Counter-Strike league comes after Turner’s ELeague announced it was offering a total of $2.4 million in prize money split across two seasons of its own. When asked whether the boost in prize money was a response to Turner’s purse, Schulze told ESPN that it was due to market factors.

Rumblings among team owners suggest that many European organizations, which represent the majority of the top 10 CS:GO teams in the world, have not yet committed to competing in Turner’s ELeague, which will debut on TBS this summer. Turner has attempted to be as accommodating as possible to the current CS:GO ecosystem, featuring shorter seasons that allow teams to play in other events. Schulze says teams won’t be locked into one league or the other.

“The schedules for both leagues are fairly similar, and as they will not be taking place at the same time, there is no need for organizations or players to choose,” said Schulze. “In fact, Turner’s new schedule fits very well with our first Pro League season in 2016. We’re happy that teams will have the opportunity to play in both, should they wish to.”

The fact that Turner’s ELeague competition will be airing on TBS will be a milestone for broadcasting esports in North America, but ESL also hinted in its press release that it will launch some television broadcasts of its own this year.

“We’ve had TV broadcasts for our CS:GO events in the past, and have had various offers coming into the new year in regards to how we could expand this in the future, specifically with the Pro League in mind,” Schulze said. “Broadcast deals we’re currently considering would plan to feature summaries of the Pro League’s weekly activities alongside selected live coverage of the matches — all to be broadcast in multiple countries. We’ll have more details as the year progresses.”

Astralis CSGO roster contains ex-TSM (TQM)

1

In the team’s press release, they stressed a desire to create an organization that provides a “stable environment,” as well as one that emphasizes transparency. Regarding the latter, they made two things clear:

  • Our players are allowed to openly discuss all monetary transactions they receive from us (including salary, sticker distribution, prize money and stream revenue). We won’t disclose their income, but we do accept and encourage them to discuss it openly if they are comfortable with it.
  • The players are co-owners of the company behind Astralis. We believe that the players are an integral part of the growth and without them there would be no us. As a consequence all of the players are shareholders in the company.

In an interview conducted with Astralis, Xyp9x openly revealed their salaries being $9,000 a month, though they received offers as high as $10,000 a month, excluding bonuses. According to devve, the player’s motivations for forming Astralis were beyond just the money.

“Internally in the team we agreed, when parting ways with Team SoloMid, that we wanted something new,” devve said. “Owning a part of the brand makes us motivated to do better as players, since that directly affects the value of our new company.”

Astralis is partnered with Sunstone Capital, a life science and technology venture capital, and is angel invested by Tommy Ahlers, a Danish entrepreneur.

Astralis CSGO roster

  • Rene “cajunb” Borg
  • Finn “karrigan” Andersen
  • Nicolaj “devve” Reedtz
  • Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen
  • Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth

The team most recently competed in SL i-League StarSeries CS:GO Finals. They made it through the group stage, sweeping ex-Titan, but they were eliminated by Natus Vincere during the playoffs and finished in fifth-sixth.

They finished in the Top 8 at DreamHack Cluj-Napoca 2015, earning their seed at the upcoming Major at MLG Columbus, which is set to take place on March 29 to April 3.

Newly formed TSM CSGO lineup is headed by Indian coach

0

TSM CSGO lineup has been announced by the organization which will be representing them officially for the year 2016. TSM announced through their blog. The North-American organization have held it to their name and recruited the players and coach from the same scene with substantial experience in the field.

TSM CSGO lineup

  • Kory “SEMPHIS” Friesen
  • Pujan “FNS” Mehta
  • Timothy “autimatic” Ta
  • Daniel “vice” Kim
  • Hunter “SicK” Mims
  • Soham “valens” Chowdhury (coach)

As the team claims their ample investment in the current newly established lineup, the nucleus of the roster reflected towards Pujan ‘FNS’ Mehta who holds a very strong profile in the Counter Strike careership. The canadian player earlier have represented NetCodeGuides.com and CounterLogic Gaming and now at TSM will be serving as an IGL.

tsm csgo new lineup

Perhaps the north-american organization construed their lineup breakingly taking different perspective as for ‘Pujan ‘FNS Mehta and Kory ‘SEMPHIS’ Friesen being in the lead charge at CLG (2015) and Cloud 9 (2014) respectively. The organization also uncovers former CLG power-player Soham ‘valens’ Chowdhury as their team coach who was earlier colleague to Timothy ‘autimatic’ Ta and ‘SEPHIS’ at CLG.

There is a lot to see from this Canadian-Americanish lineup in the coming year as they move on to with the new organization and management. The newly established roster however seems to be comparatively week from the former-TSM and now-TQM roster. We will be able to see them in action live at the online qualifier of MLG Columbus 2016 last chance pre-qualifiers this weekend.
