Minecraft YouTuber Dream’s death hoax has gone viral across social media with #RIPDream trending all over on 4th January. He is very much alive and what was initially started off as a joke took a serious turn and fans unaware of the pun were scared to death.
Many presumed this was a act of Dream haters, while other believe this done by Dream himself for free publicity. The news spread like fire and people started believing it to the extent that they went all the way to change the tense in his Wikipedia page. Having a Wikipedia page written in past tense was enough to convince the masses that Dream has actually passed away.
Dream didn’t have a hostile take to this, rather he embraced it for the joke that it was meant to be. However the hoax has been put off and the air smoke of confusion in cleared. No one has any clue how this took off and Dream is yet to post proper statement.
Not everything on the internet is believable, but if something spreads across on this scale, it turns all the more beleivable. The Twitter war surrounding this has come to an end leaving a lesson for everyone to rembere. Always validate facts and look for multiple authetic sources of information rather than a tweet of a 14 year old angry teenager.
