xQc reveals the truth behind the cheat folder on his PC

The statement relived a lot of his loyal fans who couldn't imagine xQc as a cheater.

xQc has opened up about the cheats folder stored in his PC, which according to him is not what the name suggests, rather far from it.

A folder named cheats has greater implications for someone like xQc’s who plays competitive games all time. It is natural for the audience to quickly pick up something like that when it is broadcasted on a live stream with thousands watching. Given the popularity of his channel, it would have been a disappointing outcome if those were real cheats stored in the folder.

“Whenever you download a game like Pokemon and you have a randomizer, and your randomizer, there’s something called ‘cheats,’ and those cheats are like to make the game different,” “If you’re doing a certain run, you have to use a cheats folder. It’s called cheats because you’re cheating the game, you’re cheating it. Either to make it harder, or easier.” explained xQc

The statement relived a lot of his loyal fans who couldn’t imagine xQc as a cheater. His reason behind having it was more than justified. Such names for Pokemon cheats are normal and they are nothing illegal. Not just Pokemon, cheats were a common term back in the day for GTA games which continue till date.

Given how strict the Twitch audience is, xQc wasn’t let off the hook across social media until he came up with this explanation. An entertainer of his stature could have had their career ruined as cheats strictly violate the Twitch community guidelines, let alone getting slandered by their own fans.
