“Marzil, MW1 delivered the results we wanted at VCC” Velocity Gaming’s Sentinel on Excali departure

-

Before Velocity Gaming secured their first win today at the VCC finals playoffs, we got a chance to interview VLT CEO Manoj “Sentinel” Kashyap.

Velocity Gaming were the first team from the Indian Qualifier #1 to qualify for the Valorant Conquerors Championship (VCC) hosted by Nodwin Gaming as a part of the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Circuit. They have now entered the contention alongside the rest 7 teams at the ongoing VCC tournament in a bid to secure the one and only spot at the APAC Last Chance Qualifier, towards the ultimate VCT Champions event.

Today in an exclusive interview with Manoj “Sentinel” Kashyap, Owner of Velocity Gaming, the former Counter Strike 1.6 professional laid some insights on the current VLT Valorant roster. Mr Manoj truly believes that the addition of Agneya “Marzil” Koushik and Mohit “mw1” Wakle to their Valorant division has propelled the expectations of the team, going forward as the former players have been delivering the desired results.

Marzil and mw1 joined VLT post the departure of Karan ‘Excali’ Mhaswadkar, the founding member of Velocity gaming. Although Excali was still under contract at VLT, his move to Samurai Esports came as a shocker to the Hyderabad based organization. It was later confirmed that Excali had left Velocity Gaming and joined Simar “psy” Sethi at Samurai.

Please note: At the time of Excali’s exit from the roster, Velocity Gaming were known as Team Mahi before they were rebranded back to their original banner.

According to Sentinel, Velocity Gaming has been performing way better beyond their expectations as it has been said in the interview that, the Anuj “Amaterasu” Sharma led side has been winning over 80% of their scrims being played with the teams from the SEA region.

Mr Manoj Kashyap stated,

“The excali unforeseen move was a surprise to all of us, we did not have time to look at alternatives or options the team was left in a void as excali plays a key role in our line up.

We knew that VCC was around the corner and all the investment we have made over the last 1 year was for this event and we had to make sure the next move must be concrete and one that gets the team back to winning ways.

Luckily we had got MARZIL and MW1 who had both stepped up and delivered the results we wanted.”

After their win over Exceeli Esports in their Group opener, Velocity Gaming are now scheduled to lock horns with Team Exploit in the Winners Match. Catch them play live tomorrow on Nodwin’s YouTube Channel at 19:00 PM IST.
