Marvel Rivals will welcome the powerful villain Ultron to its ranks in the upcoming Season 2. The new season is all set to drop on April 11, 2025. The new character is in keeping with the season’s “Hellfire Gala” theme, drawn from the event of X-Men comic lore.
Ultron is expected to be a hybrid Strategist hero who excels both at causing damage and assisting teammates. His main weapon, the Encephalo-Ray, releases a scorching energy beam that causes constant damage to enemies.

- Dynamic Flight (Shift Ability): Enables Ultron to rapidly dash in a selected direction and transition into free-flight mode.
- Imperative: Patch (E Ability): Orders a giant drone to chase after a chosen ally, producing a healing aura for teammates within, while further healing is directed to the chosen ally.
- Imperative: Firewall (Right Click): Calls in drones that give bonus health to surrounding allies, focused on both Ultron and the ally.
- Rage of Ultron (Ultimate Ability): Deploys an armada of drones with Encephalo-Rays, which can attack enemies and heal allies at the same time.
Season 2 of Marvel Rivals takes a cue from the Hellfire Gala, a renowned series of events within the X-Men comics. The game’s in-game equivalent will introduce players to characters who wear gala-style attire on the battlefield. Emma Frost will be available for play from the start of the season, while Ultron joins the line-up in the middle of the season.
