India is set to watch one of the biggest esports events of the year, Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 is the first esports event after the launch of BGMI. The IQOO BGIS 2021 will feature a massive prize pool of 1,00,00,000 INR and the winning team will get the opportunity to compete with the best teams around the globe in action-packed PMGC 2021 finals.
BGIS 2021 Online Qualifiers Starts Today
Thousands of teams based in India competed in the Ingame qualifiers held by Krafton. Each team played a total of 15 matches out of which their best 10 matches were considered for evaluation and qualification. The top 10 of 15 matches will be considered for evaluation and scored accordingly. In the case of a tie, certain parameters such as finishes, survival time, accuracy, etc were considered. A total of the top 1024 teams qualified for the next round.
The online qualifiers will be held in three rounds starting from today. The top 1024 squads qualifying from Online Qualifiers will be seeded into 64 groups. Each group will have to play 2 matches each on the specified dates. The top 8 teams from each group will further qualify for Round 2 of online qualifiers.
The top 512 teams from Online Qualifiers Round 1 will be seeded into 32 groups. Each group will have to play 2 matches each on the specified dates. The top 7 teams from each group will proceed to online qualifiers Round 3.
Top 224 teams from Online Qualifiers Round 3 along with 32 invited teams will be seeded into 16 groups. Each group will have to play 3 matches each on the specified dates following which the top 4 teams will qualify for Quarter Finals.
