Battlegrounds Mobile India, popularly known as BGMI was launched in July 2021 by Krafton. BGMI is the Indian version of the famous battle royale game named “PUBG Mobile” which was banned by the Indian Government last year. All versions of “PUBG Mobile” which had a connection with Tencent Games were removed from Google Play Store and App Store.
As a result, PUBG Mobile Lite also got banned along with the main version of the game. PUBG Mobile Lite was created for lower-middle range Android devices. It practically offered the same gaming experience but takes much less space in the device. Thus making it the most loved game for gamers having low-end devices.
Soon, Krafton was back with the Indian version of PUBG Mobile but the lite of the game is still in the findings for the majority of the players. Gamers are asking for the BGMI Lite version on various platforms. But no major information has been provided by the developers of the game.
Kraton has not acknowledged any update about the development of the BGMI Lite. As they are completely focused on improving the main version of the game for a better gaming experience. Besides, the increasing craze of the BGMI Esports has kept their hand full to rather focus on the development of BGMI Lite.
As of June 2022, there is no update on the release date of BGMI Lite. While BGMI requires high-end devices to enjoy a seamless gaming experience which the majority of gaming enthusiasts cannot afford. The launch of BGMI Lite is the hour of the need for players with low-end devices.
When can we expect the release of BGMI Lite?
With the Indian esports reaching its peak with each day. Krafton’s major focus is on the development of the Indian esports ecosystem and gaming experience. Major esports leagues such as BGIS and BMPS are been held for semi and pro players. Hence, we could not expect the release of BGMI Lite in 2022.
