BGMI has been the talk of the town for the past two weeks. The Indian government has put up a ban notice on this famous battle royale and as a result, the game has vanished from the market. Despite a ban, the game is still apparently active and playable. Check out the BGMI server status after the ban.
BGMI was banned under the section 69(A) of IT Act. Under this action, the game was removed from official application stores and some routes to in-game purchase were also cut down.
The government has apparently cut down all the ways to download the game but users that already have it installed on their phones have no problem in simply launching it and playing on a daily basis.
BGMI Servers Working After Ban?
The ban does interrupt users from downloading any new updates or even purchasing new items in BGMI but the servers are still up and running. All other in-game functions necessary for making the game playable are still active.
This was not the case when PUBG Mobile was banned in India as the government shut down game servers soon after the ban was announced. It did take a couple of weeks to roll out but there are no signs of this happening in BGMI for now.
Krafton officials are already in talks with the government authorities to resolve this issue and they were given a time frame of 14 days to do so. A hearing or final result is expected to be announced by next weekend.
BGMI servers are running completely well for now and we will keep you updated in case the scenario changes in the future.
