BGMI Showdown 2022: All You Need To Know

BGMI Showdown 2022 is a new Battlegrounds Mobile India event organized by Krafton along with Nodwin Gaming. Initially, this event was not planned in the BGMI esports calendar 2022 and was arranged on a priority basis to provide a pathway for an Indian team to qualify into the PMWI Afterparty 2022 event.

BGMI SHOWDOWN 2022 FORMAT

The format of BGMI Showdown or BMSD 2022 is not officially revealed yet but it could be assumed to be similar to the past BGMI events where more than 16 teams were playing in a round.

In this event, a total of 24 teams are invited to fight for the final slot as well as a huge prize pool. These 24 teams are split into three groups with eight teams each.

Looking at the team distribution, a double round-robin format could be implemented with two groups playing at a time and group numbers being shuffled on each day. It is hard to say if this event will be bifurcated into two stages as the entire event will run for four days only.

BGMI SHOWDOWN 2022 DATES AND PRIZE POOL

The officials have revealed that BGMI Showdown 2022 will be hosted in Delhi in a LAN format from 21st July to 24th July. A total of 4 playing days will be observed in this event.

The total prize pool of this event is ₹15,00,000 (~$18.7k) and the bifurcation of this prize pool is not provided yet.
