Free Fire is one of the top mobile esports titles in India. The audience and participation in Free Fire esports have grown exponentially last year in the country and with a big prize pool and more professional teams entering the fray, the upcoming season looks promising. After the first invitational tournament, Free Fire Esports announced the first half of FFIC in the form of Spring Split. After an open qualifier, the top eighteen teams participating in the FFIC league stage are finally revealed by the officials.
Free Fire India Championship is the biggest regional event for the title in India. After big sponsorships and revamps, FFIC changed completely with a lot of money at stake. Last year, FFIC 2020 hosted a prize pool of whopping ₹50 lakhs, and this time the amount has increased yet again.
FFIC 2021: Spring Split has a humongous prize pool of ₹75,00,000 or $100,000 and hence, the participation for this event was huge. The first stage of this tournament was open-for-all so a large number of teams participated but after completing several rounds, the top eighteen teams have been revealed by the social media handles of Free Fire Esports India.
The teams are divided into three groups with six teams in each group. These teams will play the league stages in this format and at the end of it, the top six teams will secure a slot for grand finals whereas the remaining teams will fight in the play-in stage. At the end of Play-ins, the remaining top six teams will qualify for the finals and we will get the top 12 teams for Grand Finals.

The League stage begins from 19th February and will run for the next three weekends, till 7 March. After this stage, the play-ins will be conducted and then the Grand Finals will be hosted on 21st March 2021.
