Garena, the developers of the battle royale game Free Fire, announced the teams that will be competing in the upcoming Free Fire World Series 2022 Sentosa.
Almost after a year, Free Fire’s world series franchise is back with a massive prize pool of $2 million USD. A total of eighteen teams from 11 regions from around the world will travel to Sentosa, Singapore to compete in the FFWS starting on May 14th, 2022.
Teams from India and CIS will not be seen competing in the world series as their regional competitions couldn’t be completed due to different reasons.
The Free Fire India Championship (FFIC) was paused after the game was banned by the Indian government whereas Free Fire Pro League CIS was canceled due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. As a result, the number of teams was reduced from 22 to 18 in the FFWS 2022 Sentosa.
FFWS 2022 Sentosa will be played in two-stage, Play-ins and Finals.
