Players ask Garena to nerf Chrono in Free Fire

Free Fire is a popular battle royale game in the mobile gaming market and it is well known for its diversified collaborations and partnerships. One of the unique characteristics of this title is the inclusion of in-game characters with special abilities. These characters are used to gain several advantages in the matches and apparently, one of them is overpowered. What happened to Chrono? Why players are asking to nerf Chrono in Free fire?

Garena made a big partnership a few months ago where football legend Cristiano Ronaldo was announced as the global ambassador of Free Fire. This collaboration was celebrated in-game as well where an entire season was dedicated around ‘Chrono’; CR7 based character.

This character brought a unique active skill to the game which acted as a damage reduction mechanism and was useful to sustain in the fights for a longer time. Chrono was supposed to match up with the aggressive character meta and fit in but apparently, it became too much powerful.

The players took it to social media to express their unhappiness about the unbalanced active skill presented by Chrono. Some players replied to the posts made by Free Fire India on their Instagram, Facebook and Twitter handles and urged the developers to adjust this skill. Some players even asked Garena to ban this character.

Chrono has an active ability named Time-Turner and when used, it creates a force field that blocks 600 damage from the enemies and increases the movement speed by 15% for four seconds. Allies within the range also gain 10% extra speed. This ability also has a small cooldown of less than a minute.

A portion of the Indian Free Fire player base is asking Garena to adjust ‘Chrono’ and slightly nerf his active ability. The officials have not responded to this appeal and it is unclear if this plea will be heard or not.
