Total Gaming wins three awards at the Free Fire Esports Awards

Free Fire is the rising esports title in India and in course of last year, it has seen exponential growth. Several new events were hosted and by collaborating with big names, the production quality of such tournaments has been rising alongside the prize pool and level of competition. To celebrate the successful run of Free Fire esports in 2020, Garena launched its own ‘Free Fire Esports Awards’ for India.

‘Free Fire Esports Awards’ were hosted to honor the incredible talents that increased the quality of Free Fire tournaments in the last year. This event was not conducted on a large scale and only had five categories but despite this all, Total Gaming has emerged as the most famous name in the process.

Total Gaming and crew have bagged three wins out of the four nominations in the Free Fire Esports Awards. Total Gaming is a very influential name in the Indian Free Fire community. He has over 10 million subscribers on YouTube and has had a very successful run in the competitive side of Free Fire in the last year.

Total Gaming won the Free Fire India Championship: Fall 2020 and represented India on a global stage. They qualified for FFCS Asia where they were ranked 8th on the overall scoreboard.

The award categories and its winners are mentioned below:

  1. Squad Captain of the Year –  TG-FozyAjay
  2. Fragger of the Year – VasiyoCRJ7
  3. Sniper of the Year – Pahadi
  4. Best Play of the Year – VasiyoCRJ7’s magnificent play in FFCS Asia Finals 
  5. Casting Duo of the Year – MambaSR & Aura

‘Pahadi’ won the best sniper reward and stopped Total Gaming from winning in all of the categories for which they were nominated. Total Gaming clan is evidently a fan favorite as a majority of votes cast went directly to them and as a result, they got the clean sweep.
